Performance Development

At LEXi, we have been supporting organisations to improve their performance management skill base for decades, continuously adapting to emerging trends and improvements in best practice for line managers at all levels. Our approach includes one-to-one skills practise and Forum Theatre, which is particularly effective when introducing new performance management systems or embedding a revitalised performance management culture. Every performance manager aims to cultivate high engagement, on-going professional development and productivity within their teams, but many managers need support and practice in order to manage the performance of their teams as effectively as possible.

Performance development is a continuous process, aligning individual and team goals with organisational strategy, target planning, reviewing progress and offering opportunities to develop skills and abilities. When done well, line managers are not only able to motivate, but also ensure good working conditions for their teams and that deadlines are realistic.

Recent years have seen a growing demand for a coaching based approach that moves beyond goal setting. Many of our Actor Facilitators are accredited coaches and are highly experienced in facilitating learning on effective performance management.

Performance Review

LEXi offers specific learning experiences that focus on the performance review process and how this can be led as effectively as possible by performance managers. Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Motivational Interviewing (MI) provides a dynamic and supportive framework designed to foster behavioural change through collaboration. Originally developed for helping individuals with addictive behaviours, we are proud to be the first experiential learning company to integrate MI techniques into our learning offering. This approach promotes collaborative, goal-oriented communication and personal development, creating a positive and lasting impact.

Managers and leaders will gain tools to engage teams effectively, respond constructively to resistance, and nurture motivation. Key elements of our training include:
