Leadership

We know that leadership is complex and ever-evolving. To complement our decades of experience in this area, we keep abreast of new and developing theory and approaches to ensure our learning experiences stay fresh and focused on results.

At LEXi, we facilitate various leadership models, including: Situational, Functional, Inclusive, Transformational, and Ethical Leadership. Whether an organisation has a preference for a specific model, or has its own set of leadership competencies, we bring these concepts to life with our hands-on experiential learning techniques.

Our unique approach to leadership development covers everyone from entry-level to the most senior executive roles. We start by exploring what effective leadership behaviour looks and sounds like, aligning this with your organisation’s needs, values and objectives.

Learning through real-life examples, our interactive scenarios allow participants to see and practise leadership behaviours in a way that feels relevant and impactful. This makes the learning process more engaging, while also fostering discussion and deepening understanding. Our programmes cover essential leadership qualities like integrity, authenticity, influence, impact, empathy and more. We often dive into just one or two of these qualities, ensuring a focused and meaningful experience.

Empathetic Leadership

One of the most discussed leadership styles is Empathetic Leadership, typified by approachability, active listening and concern for the team’s wellbeing. The ability to empathise is transformational in building strong, cohesive and loyal teams with increased engagement, productivity and levels of innovation. We start our Empathetic Leadership sessions with discussions around empathy’s role in leadership and follow this with interactive scenarios where participants practice applying empathy in different situations. They receive feedback and coaching from LEXi’s experienced Facilitators and coaches, as well as their peers.

Hybrid Leadership

Hybrid working, by definition, means some or all team members working occasionally or permanently from a remote location. Our goal is to help team leaders navigate hybrid and remote working with confidence, and ensure group dynamics stay balanced.

Leaders and managers must learn to adapt communication and manage performance across different platforms. In our sessions, we can provide practical strategies to engage remote team members, improve communication, and manage emotional responses with sensitivity.

Sessions on hybrid leadership often address the following topics:

Work-Life Balance

  • Discussing the needs of organisations and individuals, and how leaders and managers address personal work style preferences.
  • Developing flexibility and resilience.
  • Exploring the emotional impact hybrid working can have on teams, including productivity, morale and mental health.

Communication

  • Creating dialogue around how hybrid working affects communication and collaboration, both virtually and in person.
  • Adapting communication strategies, presentation skills and conducting challenging conversations in remote settings.
  • Making the most of technology.

Sustaining Engagement

  • Using empathetic leadership to build relationships and encourage collaboration and engagement.
  • Improving remote management skills, including group coaching and actionable feedback.
